This was my first attempt at ordering from Saddleback Leather. Despite ordering the wrong case for my iPad 2 (I mistakenly ordered the case for the iPad 1), I was able to take a negative and turn it into a positive and got to see first hand the quality of the products ordered from this company. Their customer service was fantastic, and I was able to return the wrong case and received the proper case. For future purchases, I would order directly from the company website. It is really easy, and the customer service is outstanding. You can tell from the time you open the package that this is not your ordinary leather goods. Extraordinary would be the right words to use. The fit and finish for the iPad 2 case is superior and functional. I was so impressed with this product that I subsequently ordered several more products from Saddleback. If you are looking for quality leather goods, look no further. This is definitely leather that will last your lifetime. It is worth every penny!

I love this case. I've had it for about 2 months now. I had a hard time choosing between the dark chocolate brown and the chestnut color, but in the end I ended up with chestnut. I was afraid that chestnut would be more on the orangey side, but it absolutely isn't. It's the perfect shade of reddish brown. It smells awesome! At first the leather was very stiff, making it difficult to fold back the flap, but now it is soft and subtle after just a few months use. The leaher is easily scratched, but after a while the scratches smooth out and contrast is minimal. I would buy this case one hundred times over, and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

And, our leather isn't "buttery soft" (fibers separated and broken down by hours of tumbling and stretching at the tannery). It's your job to tenderize it with use.The double zero continuous-filament Polyester thread we use is a little thicker than what is used on most boots. It's impressive and expensive.
